Tenerife is the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, off West Africa. It's dominated by Mt. Teide, a dormant volcano that is Spain's tallest peak. The island has many beaches of white and and turquoise water to wander along.  Tenerife has an average winter temperature of 20-22° and average summer temperatures of 26-28°. The weather in the south of Tenerife is generally hotter and drier than the weather in the north of Tenerife.

The main resorts are: Playa de Las América, Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje in the south and Puerto de la Cruz in the north of the island.
